General Bastet Gifts
Level 1 Gifts
Banish Sickness – The ability to cure disease and illness in others with a lick and a purr
Cat Feet – The ability to land on ones feet unharmed from falls up to 100 feet. Also gives perfect balance.
Command Attention – This Gift calls on the feline presence to draw attention the instant they step into the room. Everyone in a given space (room, clearing, etc.) will immediately stop what they are doing to notice the Bastet's entrance. The reaction depends on the form used. As in an attractive homid form will gain a different reaction than an angry Crinos form will.
Dowsing – Ability to sniff or paw at the ground to find water, be it in pipes, underground, etc. Water must be within 100 feet of the Bastet.
Lick Wounds – Liking heals normal to aggravated wounds on others and on oneself.
Open Seal – There Bastet can open nearly any sort of closed or locked physical device.
Pathfinders Pride – Ability to find a way out of any maze, desert, woodland etc.
Razor Claws – Ability to rake claws over stone or any other hard surface to bring them to razor sharpness
Sense the Truth – The ability to sense if others have spoken the truth or a falsehood.
Sense the Unmakers Hand – Can sense manifestations of the The Unmaker (Wyrm) in the nearby area. This Gift involves a mystical sense not a visual or olfactory sense.
Silent Stalking – Ability to walk in absolute silence over any surface, including creaky or moving surfaces, i.e. wooden stairs, piles of leaves and twigs, etc.
Spirits Sight – Ability to see into the umbra without entering it.
Tree climber – Ability to extend and sharpen claws in order to climb up or down any vertical surface, from tree bark to concrete.
Level 2 Gifts
Call Spirits – Ability to communicate with spirits, if they speak the same language as the Bastet
Cat Sight – Ability to see in complete darkness
Eerie Eyes – By staring into the eyes of a human or animal the were-cat can cause the target to flee in terror.
First Slash – Lightening fast moves in attack and defense
Night Terror – By standing vigil over a sleeping person or animal, the Bastet can evoke the famous cat-fear, causing the target to have nightmares for several nights running.
Nights Passage – By attuning themselves to the shadows to which they were born, the Bastet may walk through dim or dark areas while effectively invisible. Others may hear the Bastet or spy them with mystical sight, but until they make their move the were-cat stays hidden from view. This Gift also foils sudden light so long as some shadows still exist to hide in.
Sense the Prey – Ability to track down prey as fast as the Bastet can travel, with an unerring sense of direction, in or out of the Umbra. Also allows one to track spirits in the umbra or finding people outside of it.
Sense Silver – ability to sense or smell any type of silver within 50 feet.
Shriek – Ability to deafen everyone nearby, including allies, with an ear splitting scream.
Summon Water – Ability to call up water, or add to water, even where no water was before. It usually calls about 5 gallons per call and is very effective in deserts.
Swipe – Ability to steal items and the target stolen from forgets ever owning the item.
Touch The Mind – Allows mental speech, relied on heavily in Feline and Chatro forms.
Level 3 Gifts
Call The Pride – By moaning or crying out, the Bastet may summon local wild, domestic or Big Cats to come to their aid. Does not have to be used for a life threatening situation only.
Caper – By dancing around in any form, A Bastet can charm bystanders into a semi trance. The trance remains until violence occurs or the Bastet sneaks away unnoticed.
Cat Fear – By bristling and spitting, the Bastet can scare the holy hell out of everyone nearby. Unfortunates suffering from Ailurophobia (fear of cats) often go catatonic. Cannot be used in Sotko or Homid form.
Cheshire Prank – The ability to just vanish from sight without side stepping into the Umbra.
Command the Prey – By chittering or chanting slightly, the were-cat can make their prey come to them, so long as they stand still while chanting or chittering. Victim will wander slightly dazed until close enough to be grabbed. Once the were-cat moves the trance is broken.
Far Sight – By concentrating on a reflective surface or summoning a spirit, the Bastet looks into distant places. It helps if t hey have been there before but is not necessary Once the Bastet finds what they are looking for, they can watch for awhile until is slowly fades.
Gift of Rage – The ability to call a berserker frenzy to oneself
Ignore Pain – The ability to ignore even severe and crippling.
Impala's Flight – The ability to double running speed
Purr – The ultimate tool of feline seduction. By softly purring near a person or animal, the Bastet instills in the target a desire to cuddle, pet, and spoil the Bastet. It can last a lifetime in some cases, but generally only lasts a few days per purr. It cannot be used to impel any target to commit violence
Righteous gaze – By staring into the eyes of a liar, the were-cat can break through the deception. Shaming the target badly. Bagheera and Simba excel at this.
Level 4 Gifts
Attunement – Those with Den Realms use this gift to view their Den realm holdings from where ever they are by going into a light trance, and communicating with the spirits in their realm. Visitors will be seen long before they can reach the Bastet.
Claw Storm – Allows the Bastet to become a shredding machine with their claws in all forms.
Fortuna – Cats naturally have good luck. The ability allows the Bastet to share, loan or imbue another with the same good luck for a short period. Cannot use this gift for bad luck.
Spirit Claws – a Den Realm gift. It allows the were-cat to attack from the penumbra or rip through the gauntlet at an Umbral opponent without stepping sideways. Must be able to see opponent in order to strike.
Spit Fire – Allows the Bastet to spit out a small stream of fire.
Walking Between Worlds – This allows the Bastet to step sideways in to the Umbral Realms.
Wolfs Terror – Allows the Bastet to turn their claws to silver with no harm to themselves.
Level 5 Gifts
Future Warning – By sensing he whims of Fate-in-Motion, the Bastet may sense impending disaster, though it is not exactly precognition. This gift allows vague insight into coming perils.
Jump to the Moon – The greatest of the Bastet can return to Seline for short visits. This is done by forming a moon bridge from their den realm to the moon. The were-cat departs to the Court of Luna, and while there can breath and move about normally. It can be attempted once per night, needs a moonlit ritual, Seline needs to be invoked and her servants called. The bridge lasts one night. The Lunes come down to guide the Bastet and their guests to Selines body. The trip is said to be faster than light.
Perfect Passage – The ultimate stealth gift. The Bastet can travel over any material or obstacle without leaving a trace. The perfect gift for thieves.
Sooth / Summon Storm – The strongest of the Bastet can call upon the weather spirits to whip up or to disperse a storm, doing so by yowling at and capering about under the sky. Anything from a drizzle to a tornado / hurricane. It is more difficult to disperse storms than it is to call them.
Withering Stare – Allows a were-cat to kill with a glance, depending on their targets strength and willpower. It twists the target into agonized convulsions either until death or until the were-cat grants release.
